The 16 Cells Mystery - When There Are Sixteen Cells In the Embryo
This article is about a mystery related to DNA. It is a mystery that occurs during the "morphing of the embryo" from a single fertilized egg in the womb of the human mother to the complete baby roughly 9 months later.
What is in this section is mind-numbing in complexity, which is why I call it a "mystery," so study it carefully!! This is clearly one of the single most powerful arguments against the theory of evolution!!!!!
No human being could design or even comprehend how these algorithms on the DNA work!!!
The "morphing of the embryo" instructions must be on the DNA since atheists/evolutionists do not believe that humans have a spirit. In truth the spirit of the human being is heavily involved with the morphing of the embryo. But let us ignore the spirit in this article and focus on DNA and cells.
As mentioned on the home page, the DNA inside the fertilized egg of a new human mother contains 3.2 billion nucleotides (A, C, G, or T), which is a computer program that is so sophisticated that a single cell, with a single DNA strand (which is seven feet long and is coiled up), namely the fertilized egg inside of a mother-to-be, has the intelligence on the DNA to create an entire human baby, via 30 billion cell divisions, who has 30 billion cells and 60,000 miles of blood vessels, etc.
The 60,000 miles of blood vessels in this newborn baby would wrap around the earth, at the equator, twice, with 10,000 miles of blood vessels left over!!
When the baby is born he or she will have an incredible brain which is connected to a massive nervous system, a skull to protect the brain, a spine to protect the spinal cord (the spinal cord is a cylindrical bundle of nerve fibers), two eyes which are connected to the nervous system, a beating heart, a liver, a pancreas, 300 bones (which eventually fuse into 206 bones), etc. etc.!!
The fertilized egg only contains one DNA strand which contains the instructions to create the entire baby. But here is the problem: as the fertilized egg starts to divide it doesn't take long until the new baby consists of only 16 cells and thus sixteen DNA strands, one in each cell.
For example, the fertilized egg consists of one cell
But let's stop at when the baby has sixteen cells. Each of these 16 cells must have the information needed to create a unique set of 1/16th of the cells in the new baby!! In other words, there is something very, very different about each of these 16 cells otherwise they would all create the same part of the body!!!!
For example, humans would have 16 heads, 32 arms, 32 legs, etc. if these 16 cells were identical to the fertilized egg (one head for each of the 16 cells and two arms and two legs for each of the 16 cells, etc.)!!
That sentence is so important I am going to repeat it:
Humans would have 16 heads, 32 arms, 32 legs, etc. if these 16 cells were identical to the fertilized egg (one head for each of the 16 cells and two arms and two legs for each of the 16 cells, etc.)!!
But that is not what happens. These 16 cells lead to 16 mutually exclusive sets of cells in the baby and yet these 16 cells were all created from the same fertilized egg!! Several hours before these 16 cells existed there was only one fertilized egg!! What in the world happens during the first few hours after conception??
So what is the difference between these 16 cells so that each cell knows which 1/16th of the body to create? No one has the slightest clue because each of these 16 cells has exactly the same DNA, yet each will lead to the creation of 16 mutually exclusive sets of cells!!
It gets much worse for evolutionists. Each 1/16th of the baby (from these first 16 cells) must integrate with contiguous 1/16th sections of the fetus as the fetus morphs. This must be done at the cellular level!!
Absolute Proof That Humans, And Other Animals, Have a Spirit
As you go down this list, it should become apparent that the "morphing of the embryo" of a baby is not controlled by DNA, but rather it is controlled by the spirit of the human or animal.
Layer 1) When there is one cell, the fertilized egg, it must contain the information to create an entire human baby,
Layer 2) When the fertilized egg divides there are two cells, and these two cells must have the information to create two completely different sets of cells as the baby is morphing and these two sets of cells must integrate with each other. In other words, the two cells in this layer are totally different than the fertilized egg or each other!!
In other words, these two cells in this layer are totally different than any of the prior cells or each other!!
Layer 3) The two cells from Layer 2 divide and there are four cells, and these four cells must have the information to create four completely different sets of cells as the baby is morphing and these four sets of cells must integrate with each other.
In other words, these four cells in this layer are totally different than any of the prior cells or each other!!
Layer 4) The four cells in Layer 3 divide and there are eight cells, and these eight cells must have the information to create eight completely different sets of cells as the baby is morphing and these eight sets of cells must integrate with each other.
In other words, these eight cells in this layer are totally different than any of the prior cells or each other!!
Layer 5) The eight cells in Layer 4 divide and there are sixteen cells, and these sixteen cells must have the information to create sixteen completely different sets of cells as the baby is morphing and these sixteen sets of cells must integrate with each other.
In other words, these sixteen cells in this layer are totally different than any of the prior cells or each other!!
And so on until there are 30 billion cells in the newborn baby.
Yet note that every cell, from the fertilized egg to the complete baby, has exactly the same DNA!!!
How would you like to write a computer program that works the way that DNA work!!!!! It would never happen.
In fact, this sequence of events is a proof that an outside source, the spirit of the new baby, is in complete control of the cell divisions.
More About These Sixteen CellsIt is highly likely that all sixteen of these cells will be involved in creating blood vessels because the blood vessels are all over the body.
So how do the blood vessels created by these sixteen cells connect and weave together as the baby is forming?
It is also highly likely that all sixteen of these cells will be involved in creating the nerves throughout the body. How do all of these nerves, created by different members of these sixteen cells, connect with each other?
It is highly likely that more than one of these sixteen cells are involved in creating the human brain. How do the brain cells created by these multiple cells connect to each other so the human can think.
But even if only one of these sixteen cells leads to the construction of the brain; nerves from throughout the body must connect to and integrate with the brain cells to give the rest of the cells key information via the nervous system. How do the sixteen cells make sure all of the connections are correct?
We can also think about the bones. Likely all sixteen of these cells are involved with constructing the bones and the muscles which connect to the bones and control the legs, arms, etc. How do the different cells created by these sixteen cells integrate with each other to create a coordinated body?
In summary, how do these sixteen cells, which all came from the same fertilized egg a few hours earlier, coordinate the construction of the baby including the nervous system, brain, blood vessels, immune system, etc.
It should be obvious that no series of mindless accidents (i.e. evolution) could have created the incomprehensible sophistication and complexity of the DNA of the father and mother, especially if someone assumes the morphing of the fetus is controlled exclusively by the baby's own DNA!!
Here are more questions: Which genes are activated in each cell when the fetus has 16 cells? Which genes are activated in each cell when there are 1,024 cells in the fetus? Which genes are activated in each cell when there are 1,048,576 cells in the fetus? And so on. No one has a clue because every cell has exactly the same DNA!!
The Spirit of the Person
For Latter-Day Saints, the Brigham Young Priesthood / Relief Society manual has an article called "The Spirit World."
Because every person has a spirit, which they had before birth, it is fairly clear that the "spirit" of a person (or any animal) is involved in the "morphing of the embryo"!!!
Many religions teach that every person has a "spirit." In fact, the Bible strongly implies this is the case. The spirit of a person undoubtedly has a great deal of influence over what the person looks like when they are a mid-teen. I mention this because the "morphing of the embryo" algorithms are so unbelievable in complexity it is almost cetain that the spirit of the person is involved in controlling the "morphing of the embryo."
A sixteen year old person (not too young, not too old) may look much like their spirit looks like.
But if humans have spirits that would preclude the atheistic theory of evolution from being true. The doctrine of spirits was taught in the Bible and in other scriptures. These docrines were taught many centuries before the discovery of DNA in 1953!!
However, the spirit is fully formed before conception because the spirit lived in the pre-existence. In fact, we had to choose between Christ and Lucifer (i.e. satan), in the pre-existence in order to receive a physical body.
This event was called the "Grand Council:"
Satan's followers will never have a physical body.
When we lived as spirits we had society in all ways. In fact, we likely chose our spouse before we were even born. But we chose our spouse based on what each of us looked like in the pre-existence. I am not convinced the pre-existence and the spirit world are on the same planet for reasons I won't get into.
Based on what I have seen, the spirit of a person, which does not change from conception to old age, looks much like we did at the age of about 16.
So at conception the fertilized egg consists of one cell and the spirit of the new child which has been fully formed since the pre-existence.
So what controls the unbelievably sophisticated cell divisions? At the level of sixteen cells, how can each cell create 1/16th of the cells in the baby? Based on what I have said already, it is almost certain that the spirit of the new child, which is fully developed before conception, controls the morphing of the embryo.
From birth to death, the spirit of the person remains the same, but the physical body starts to age and responds to the person's lifestyle and eating habits.
So when a person dies, even if they die at the age of 80, their spirit will still look like when the person looked like when they were about 16 years old because the spirit does not "age."
And when we are resurrected, I would assume that our new physical body will look like our spirit regardless of how old we were when we died.
